Yesterday was a mildly hectic day, so there isn't a picture.  Maybe we'll do the pic every day thing starting today?  That is, if I can get my USB cord away from Isaac, lol.  He's charging one of the PS3 controllers.

So today's Friday!  Woot weekend!  And they let me off work at like 4 o'clock, so that was pretty sweet.  Aside from the killer stomach cramps I've had all day, which I blame my horrible diet for, it's been a good day.  I had to go in 3 hours early to open the store because of a fuck up on the schedule.  Sooo glad they're finally getting management situations straightened out and the schedule won't be all fuxxored anymore.

So since Jake and Alexis are off (and couldn't rent a car, so we don't have the truck for the weekend like I had hoped) to Vegas for the weekend and we actually aren't in the hole yet, I'm gonna go and get most of a week's worth of groceries and hopefully not go completely broke.  It would be so nice to make it until pay day without having to bum food or money off of someone to make it.  I have until Thurs. to plan for, so the tentative plans are hotdogs and barbecue sauce with mac and cheese one night, sandwiches one night, pork chop stew at my parents' Monday (okay, so we will be bumming food ONE day, lol), probably stroganoff or something else hamburger helper-ish another night, and then another hamburger helper something another night.  That covers all the days and shouldn't be much more than $30.  Whew!  Maybe we'll still have money for Daniel's smokes!  Haha

Peh, Chubby (our fat black cat) was trying to eat garbage.  Cats are always into shit...but at least they don't pee on the floor at random.  Yeah...not a dog person.  I want one, don't get me wrong, but I want an ankle biter.  Not to mention, I'll actually discipline her and make her be good, not let her run wild like a coyote.  Sorry, I'm holding grudges at the moment...I won't say for what or towards who, because I desperately want to protect feelings and keep relationships and friendships afloat.

Jake called, he'll be home laaaate, so I'll leave him a note warning him that I'm waking his ass up to give me a ride in the morning.  :D

Wasting some time to see if Jake comes home tonight...I need a ride to work in the morning and I don't have to work until 11, so if I have to walk, it really won't be that big of a deal.  Daniel said he'll get up and walk with me if I buy him a chicken basket.  Sounds fair to me, they're on sale this month, lol.

I guess since this is only my second post, I should probably give you a layout of names to look for in the future and who they are.

Daniel- My significant other, for lack of a better term.  I feel I'm too young to claim him as my husband yet, but we've been together 3 years, so it's much more than a boyfriend thing these days

Jake- Jacob to most, just plain Jake to us...he's our roommate and general haver-of-vehicle. 

Isaac- Jake's 18 year old brother who works with me

Logan- Isaac's best friend, also works with me

Scott- long time friend, also a coworker

Janet- Cook at work, my confidant

Jordan- My  17 year old brother

Kaylin- My best friend who passed away July 1

I somehow see us walking up there tomorrow, but I think it will be fun.  I look forward to it.  Now all the vicious dogs in the neighborhood have gone away, I'm not terrified of walking anymore, and it's been soooo nice in the mornings lately.

That is my new life goal. 

I guess I'll start this off by introducing myself.  My name is Amanda, but only people I work with call me that.  I'm Manders or Manda otherwise.  I work at a fast food joint, I'm the day shift manager, Monday through Friday.  It's a crappy job a lot of the time and I hate it more often than not, but I work with most of my friends, so it's pretty sweet to get paid to hang out with my homeslices.

I saw this website online a few days ago, a guy had taken a Polaroid every day of his life from the last day of March in 1979 until his death in 1997.  http://photooftheday.hughcrawford.com/  I decided I wanted to start the same goal for myself, though I don't own a Polaroid, I do have a digital camera, so I figured I'd seize the day with what I had.  I'm going to use this journal to display those pictures.

This is my "shrine" to my best friend Kaylin.  She passed away July 1 of this year at the age of 20.


This is the Potato Head family...Potato Head stuff is one of the many many things I collect.  Look forward to pictures of rubber ducks, teddy bears, and beads soon!
